HABITAT

Transcaspian Urials are large, beautiful sheep that can be found plateaus, coastal cliffs, and mountainous regions of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, and Afghanistan.

The Transcapian Urial is a strikingly attractive wild sheep. They have a long flowing neck bib and ruff which can reach 9″. Some believe this particular species is the one from which all others descended.

There is a strict hierarchy among rams based on their age and the size of their massive curling horns. The ram with the biggest horns is the leader.
