Conditions were really challenging. -20 degrees centigrade at the warmest. Mornings started at -28. Altitude from 13,000 to 16,000 feet.
Was able to get 8 trophies in Tajikistan. Longest shot at a Bukharan Urial at 765 yards.
I can’t imagine going to such a challenging hunt without first going to the SAAM and doing training right!

I started hunting/shooting at 40 years old and struggled for years until I went to SAAM. My confidence level soared after one SAAM class. I have been to SAAM 3 or 4 times. Every time I go I feel more confident with the shots I am taking on paper or animals. I also recognize when I don’t need to shoot which is the most valuable lesson SAAM taught me. I managed a 370 yard shot on the side of a mountain after moving locations 3 times to get the right setup for me. My last two safari’s have been a huge success. Thanks to SAAM!
My first Elk/Mule deer hunt would not have been successful if it wasn’t for my training experience at the FTW Ranch/SAAM course. The incredible staff and instructors gave me the skills I needed, dialed in my new rifle, and helped me build the confidence to get my first big game kill at over 450 yards! Not only was this a great course for improving your PRS and hunting skills, but it’s an awesome guys trip as well. I highly recommend it!
