SAAM I had a great time hunting the Sierra Nevada, Ronda and finally Beceite ibex. My Ronda and Beceite ibex shots were at “reasonable” distances (under 300 meters), resulting in one-shot kills with my 270 WSM. However, I only had shots well over 500 meters for the Sierra Nevada ibex. Thanks SAAM!!!!

Tim and SAAM Team, You and your amazing team made this 400 yard clean kill shot possible with your school. No questions, I had no other shot and without your help this ram would have gotten away as there was no other approach to get a shot off. South Baja Desert Ram Hunt in the books!

Where do Ronnie and I begin to say thank you for the most unbelievable first safari a person could wish for? I thought it might be difficult for me accompanying and not hunting myself, but I must say I received more joy by watching Ronnie than any hunt I’ve experienced. And FTW is to be credited with his success. He took 11 beautiful trophies. His buffalo wound up being an old, old one with 40.5 inches and 18 inch bosses, very special animal. So once again , my friend a BIG THANK YOU to the whole FTW/SAAM Team!! Hope you and your family and everyone at FTW are doing great.

As a gun writer I’m blessed with lots of opportunities to hunt and shoot fantastic rifles on once in a lifetime hunts. This past week I hiked to within 650 yards of a 6×6 bull elk which was both cross canyon and very much up a 35 degree mountain in Idaho. I knew the dope. I knew my gun. More importantly I knew not to shoot because I also knew I wasn’t properly anchored or properly equipped to make a clean, ethical, one-shot kill on that magnificent animal. So I walked away. No regrets. FTW did much more than teach me how to shoot long range. It taught me how not to. Thank you for teaching me how much goes into such a long and challenging shot so that when my opportunity came I made a mature and ethical choice not to shoot. Jay Pinsky, Gun Writer
