Had an adventure of a lifetime hunting Bighorn Sheep and Mountain Goat in British Columbia. Did complete my Grand Slam of North American Wild Sheep and also harvested a large, mature Billy. Sheep was 420 yards, goat was 390 yards. Even though the first shot at the goat was a perfect shoulder shot that would have dropped a sheep in it’s tracks, it took two more to anchor him for good. All the practice with follow-up shots at the FTW Ranch really helped.

Last week I went to Coahuila Mex. chasing an Aoudad, I got really lucky because I found it pretty early on the hunt, but I wanted to show you the picture of the animal, I shot it at 375 yards with wind compensation and it was a perfect shot!! Again I can´t be more happy and grateful with you and all the team, taking the course was one of the best decisions I have ever made 🙂 Thank you so much!! Santiago Holschneider

When I am getting ready for a mountain hunt, I always include a visit to FTW Ranch as part of my training program. One of the most common situations on a sheep hunt, is a longer shot than normal, something you acquire at the SAAM course. My Dall sheep hunt gave me an expected surprise! My range finder was not able to measure the distance due a heavy fog bank between the sheep and my shooting position. I estimated that my shot was no further than 300 yards, so I dialed my turret to my hunting zero HZD as SAAM calls it), where I knew I was ok to shoot from 100 to 300 yards without compensation. To my surprise, the distance was 93 yards and a perfect shot placement. The information you learn in SAAM is crucial for any hunting situation. It is worth to invest in your shooting skills before any hunt. Armando Klein
