Just returned from a great adventure in NWT. Dall ram at 425 yds, mountain caribou at 315 yds and wolf at 230 yds. Shots at the ram and wolf were over large rocks using a pack for a rest. The concept of Acceptable Reticle Movement came into play for both of these clean one shot kills. There is no doubt that the SAAM Precision Course has made a big difference in my shooting ability in real life hunting situations. Best Regards, Kemp
Overcoming fear is one of the ways I got to the FTW Ranch. The real reason I went is because I was invited by a dear friend. However, I really wanted to know how to work a gun. I mean really work it, not have to think about it… know exactly what to do when I grabbed it. I had a slight encounter with a bear the summer before, and my weapon of choice was a ski pool, because I had no idea what to do with the gun by our door. I took my .308 to FTW I was scared of recoil. Go figure. When I closed the gate, leaving the ranch my tears fell in the dirt. I couldn’t be more grateful. I overcame a fear. My FTW Hunter is powerful enough to get most any job done I’ll ever need. When I carry it, it’s like having a friend with me. It’s like having my story with me. It reminds me how far I’ve come. I’m grateful for the people, the places and the things that help me along the way. We’ve been attending the SAAM shooting school for many years now. The knowledge, instruction and professionalism we receive from attending these classes is phenomenal! I highly recommend that anyone that hunts or shoots attend one of the many classes offered at FTW Ranch prior to embarking on a hunt. You’ll be a much better hunter and shooter as a result! Thanks again for the great SAAM training! I was able to take a great Stone’s sheep at 433 yards with one shot. I was also able to shoot my moose off sticks at 330 yards! The training works! Darryl
Where do I begin to say another BIG thank you? Coming to FTW in May was exactly what I needed to give me the best shot opportunity on this huge leopard. Everything you all did gave me the confidence I needed. Also, many of the little tips proved to be invaluable at various times while hunting other game. I can’t wait to get back to FTW in one month.
